Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Islamic approach in

guidance and counseling services to overcome the moral problems of

elementary school students and identify their effectiveness in shaping

students' character. The method used is a qualitative approach with a type

of descriptive research based on field studies, through observation

techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation of BK teachers,

classroom teachers, and students. The results of the study show that the

initial condition of students' morals is still relatively low, characterized

by a lack of discipline, responsibility, and good manners. After applying

the Islamic approach through the strategy of mauidzah hasanah, example,

habituation, and positive reinforcement, there are significant behavioral

changes, such as increasing discipline, respectful attitudes, and religious

awareness of students. The novelty of this research lies in the systematic

integration of the values of the Qur'an and Hadith in the practice of

counseling guidance that is not only theoretical, but also applicable and

sustainable in the elementary school environment. The implications of this

study show that the Islamic approach can be a strategic alternative in

fostering students' morals holistically by combining psychological and

spiritual aspects, as well as contributing to the development of a more

contextual and effective model of guidance and counseling based on

religious values in the world of basic education.
