Abstract

This study seeks to explore the role of educational technology in the context of English language learning through a literature based approach. This study is motivated by the increasing use of technology in the world of education as well as the need to improve students English language skills in the digital era. Data were obtained from various relevant sources, such as scientific journals, books, and research articles, which were then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that educational technology has an important role in increasing student engagement, providing access to authentic learning resources, and supporting the development of language skills. However, there are several challenges in its implementation, such as infrastructure limitations, gaps in technology access, and low digital literacy among teachers and students. Therefore, appropriate strategies and support from various parties are needed so that the utilization of technology in English language learning can run optimally.
